The kind folks in Misfortune Cookie and at Everything Sucks have asked us to run a premiere of the new Misfortune Cookie video, ‘All Dogs are Nina’. For the unfamiliar or semi-familiar (is that even a thing?), Misfortune Cookie are comprised of 3/4 of punk rock champs Bear Trade and Helen Chambers on vocals and guitar. Helen was previously performing solo acoustic folksy kind of material.
I was fortunate enough to catch Misfortune Cookie live with Guns n’ Wankers and Spoilers at Wharf Chambers t’other week. I thought they were pretty incredible and I have vague memories of blabbering at them about how good they were, because I was a bit, er, tipsy, shall we say? The lad who plays drums was either humouring me or found it somewhat amusing. Anyway…
You can have a gander at the video for ‘All Dogs are Nina’ below…
This song is lifted from the forthcoming album, Heavy Seas, which releases via Everything Sucks on 27th September 2019. You can access the pre-order here. You’ll be able to purchase this on a choice of either murky water with white splatter or black vinyl. It will also be available digitally. Lloyd Chambers (bass) has let me have a secret advance listen to the LP, and I can assure your sorry asses that it is indeed a fine opus. Proper, mate.
